Backstepping Control Based on a Third-order Sliding Mode Controller to Regulate the Torque and Flux of Asynchronous Motor Drive

This work represents a new nonlinear control for the asynchronous motor (AM) drive. The designed is based on combination between backstepping (BC) scheme and third-order sliding mod (TOSMC). In this proposed control, torque flux are controlled. Also, torque, current, ripples minimized by BC-TOSMC strategy. strategy more robust compared to field-oriented (FOC). of AM drive has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software. comparisons were made FOC under different operating conditions. results show that flux, strategy, with reduction ratio about 57.14%. total harmonic distortion (THD) values stator current using technique respectively 1.09% 3.42%. case, utilizing performance improved from
